Senior Occupational Therapist | Mental Health Practitioner | DBT & EMDR-Informed
Hi, I’m Liz, a qualified Occupational Therapist since 2012, currently working in the NHS as a Senior Mental Health Practitioner mainly with young adults. I have broad experience across social care and mental health, supporting children, young adults, adults and older adults. Interests include Mental Health and Sport and the Occupational Therapist perspective. PTSD, Risk and Personality Disorders.
I use a variety of techniques specifically tailored to your needs. I’m trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and I have been part of a DBT consult team running weekly skills groups and providing weekly one-to-one therapy for people navigating emotional distress, trauma, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, and complex mental health needs. I’m currently training in EMDR therapy.
I believe in down-to-earth, non-judgemental care focused on helping you build a life that feels more balanced and meaningful. Clients often say I’m warm, real, and easy to talk to—and I’m here to walk beside you, at your pace.
